Yesterday evening, 8 of 10 committee members made it to the first Awards Committee meeting, held at Cooper’s Hawk restaurant and winery on I-Drive; where following a vivacious discussion several issues were deliberated and resolutions were made. Congratulations to the members for helping to foster creativity, unity and collaborative film-making!

Yesterday, on June 7th, 2018, OIF held its first General Meeting of the year. The general meeting immediately followed the first OIF workshop.  Cecil Battiste conducted an engaging screen-writing workshop at the Valencia Community College Campus  in Winter Park. The first Workshop series being offered to OIF members is emerging June 2018 as a screen writing group.  This workshop will help writers through the process of screenwriting by sharing experiences with their peers.

The 2018 Spring Flix Challenge selections were screened  at Universal Studios yesterday.  The event was a tremendous success, as the films were shown to an audience completely filling the theater. All available seats for the OIF 2018 Spring Flix Short Film Screening and Awards Event have been sold out.   Tickets sold out about one month prior to the event, which promises to bring an evening of film, fun, friends and family together.   Eleven short films will be screened at Universal Studios AMC Theaters, Orlando….
